NEW MUSIC SHOW COP26 SPECIAL

On Friday 5th November I was delighted to perform in Glasgow as part of BBC Radio 3's special New Music Show for COP26. The show was recorded in front of a studio audience alongside a fantastic line up of performers who have brought climate and our earth into the heart of their work: Laura Bowler and Ruth Morley, the Ligeti Quartet and Xenia Pestova-Bennet. Cut & Fade

Over the past few months I have been working with Iain Armstrong to create a new soundwalk, commissioned by Multistory for the BLAST! Festival of Photography, Walks and Talks. Cut & Fade is a site-specific soundwalk in Smethwick that is hosted on our SOUNDwalker app. It was commissioned by Multistory and launched on 5th June 2019 at Blast! Festival. 10 SOLDIERS, ROSIE KAY DANCE COMPANY

I am currently working on the forthcoming production of 10 SOLDIERS by Rosie Kay Dance Company. 10 years since we created 5 SOLDIERS, 10 Soldiers takes a fresh look at life in 2019’s British Army including issues of equality and diversity. The show premieres at Birmingham Hippodrome on 21 May, 2019 and tours to Edinburgh and Norwich. More info here

Racines released on empreintes DIGITALes

I'm delighted to announce my new album Racines will be released by empreintes DIGITALes next month at the annual BEAST FeAST Festival in Birmingham, UK. The CD will be launched at 12:00 on Saturday 4th May and my latest piece Racines tordues will be performed in the concert at 13:00 over the 90-channel BEAST diffusion system.

Loudspeaker Orchestra Concert, Greenwich

I have been invited to curate and perfom a concert of my works on Wednesday 27 March as part of the the Loudspeaker Orchestra Concert Series hosted by the University of Greenwich. The concert will take place at 7pm at St Alfege Church, Greenwich and will include four of my works plus pieces by students on the Sound Design course. More info and tickets are available here

Composer-in-residence at University of Hull

I have been resident at the University of Hull this month and have had the privilege of working intensively in their ambisonic studio experimenting and exploring techniques and approaches for ambisonic composition. On 7 March I premiered my new ambisonic work Racines tordues at the HEARO diffusion concert A new piece is now underway and I look forward to returning to Hull in a few months to apply the final finishing touches.
